DAVID BOWIE’S PARTING GIFT, WHAT IS YOUR TRIBUTE?
He gave us one last gift before he died on Monday: “Blackstar,” his final album, his finale.
According to Lazarus of Bethany, also known as Saint Lazarus or Lazarus of the Four Days” is the subject of a prominent miracle attributed to Jesus in the Gospel of John, in which Jesus restores him to life four days after his death. The Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic traditions offer varying accounts of the later events of his life.”
David Bowie’s parting gift for all of his fans in his carefully planned finale. What a tribute to his life, his works of art, his music and him. Will we ever forget him? Not likely. Why because he has made an impact in our generation and also future generations to learn to love him just like we did.
“I’ll be free just like that bluebird”. The bluebird could signify a spiritual transition or awakening.
Bluebirds, which have symbolized within the Native American tribes and the ancient Egyptians associate the bluebird with the sun and it’s rising.
Also bluebirds have been associated with joy and happiness, and of course Twitter!
Black stars referred to in the song may be a term that radiologists call a type of benign radial scar, or lesion, found in breast tissue when they are checking for cancer. Of course referring back to his cancer.
I guess the whole song is up for interpretation.
What would you like your parting gift to be?
There are many collections that could be put together as you live your life for those left behind.
According to English Wiktionary, A Parting gift is, “A gift given to someone who is leaving; a leaving present
Offering given, usually as a consolation prize, to a person who is not the ultimate winner of a contest. Often used in a game show for contestants who are not the grand prize winner.”
